Every ordinary act of kindness--like shaking down seeds from a frozen bird feeder--is an expression of the intuitive goodness which lies at the heart of every human being. Zen Buddhists call this inborn compassion the Heartmind. This warm and uplifting collection of tales and personal essays helps readers uncover the simple wisdom of charity, benevolence, and sympathy within everyday acts.
Editorial :
Though writing from a pro-western view, he gives a great amount of evidence and support for his claims. I felt for the women and their struggles. Typically I've gone with the horror themed, "Year of Infection" zombie calendars (another great buy, I must say) though this year I decided to switch it up.
The calendar shows variants of the older classic cards on the lower end of the date side, with the newer variant art being the displayed image for the month on the top half. I've enjoyed having the e-books open on the computer at the same time as light room so that I can easily follow along. The plates (diagrams) are a critical and integral to the text. There is just too much concern with Barth, Brunner, Bultmann (a whole chapter!), etc.. Also, I found the historical/stylistical annotations for each piece very interesting. CAUTION: I am a practicing administrator with extensive experience observing and providing feedback to teachers.
Teacher evaluation is a hot topic
