It is really difficult for those of us who knew Michael to see him portrayed so poorly. I bought it for my 14 year old son for Christmas, when he looked at it the entire book was about E-Type Jaguars and written by a completely different author than the one on the front cover. The dialogue that Sixsmith invented for the conversations Michael and I supposedly had were not quotes from the interview I gave, and I did not agree to my interview being turned into scenes with made-up dialogue. He was a terrific writer and speaker. The adverstising for this book is very misleading. Nice pictures but the dude does not know anything about Porsche. This does have detailled US model information, year-on-year. Making deft use of language, Comini's writing is both deeply personal and introspective, tracing her growth as a person and as a scholar.
