But since I purchased it I wasn't going to let it sit there. I was hooked within the first chapter watching Elijah become Desire, her transition, estrangement from her family, oppression, subjugation, abuse and that was just within the first 15 pages.

We explore racism, sexism, transphobia, the media and love throughout the book. Do not buy!. I never thought I'd hear myself talk like this. Alessandra Comini's introductory description of discovering Schiele's prison cell leads the reader into an exuberant, 233 pages of the author's adventures, travels, and personal memoirs. I think a tongue-in-cheek approach would have made for a much funnier parody of the 50s kids sleuth genre. It was easy to understand if you know all the terms. Love is Love no matter who it's with! And you did feel the Love in this story.. The only flaw is the ending -- I won't spoil it for you but it throws kind of a heavy-handed PC note into an otherwise light 'n frothy adventure.
