Nature doesn't always play nice, and Things That Make You Go Yuck!: Crooked Critters showcases some of the worst offenders in the plant and animal kingdoms. You'll meet trespassing toads, insects in disguise, brood-borrowing cuckoos, and many more. It's a rogue's gallery of some of nature's roughest, meanest species. Whether it's nature's slimiest organisms or the weirdest mutations, Things That Make You Go Yuck! celebrates survival of the fittest, grossest, craziest, and creepiest things in nature, proving once and for all that life in the wild is anything but ordinary.

Editorial : About the Author Jenn Dlugos and Charlie Hatton are Boston-based science nerds who met through stand-up comedy. By day, Jenn writes science textbooks and Charlie slings data for a cancer research company. By night, they make comedy films and stay up way past their bedtime e-mailing pictures of weird animals to each other.

Many parents and grandparents pick it up, then decide it is too pricey and choose something else in our bookshop/ gift shop.. I'm a little upset that I paid for this. If he became a screaming psychopath you couldn't blame him a bit, but Gantos shows us that in spite of environment a person like Joey can show enough smarts and wherewithal to break free of his surroundings to become a decent human being. There is love of friends and family, just as , there is sex. It is obvious that he was granted access to Brown's inner circle giving us the TRUE story of this great man's fascinating life. You get invested in the lives of EACH princess and when you’re reading her story, you want her to succeed! Learning how each main character was dealing with her situation was very interesting for me, and I enjoyed the bits of lore sprinkled throughout the book (in the rituals, the rules, the buildings, the foods, everything!).

There is one thing in this story that royally pissed me off
