Richard Aufmann is the lead author of two bestselling developmental math series and a bestselling college algebra and trigonometry series, as well as several derivative math texts. He received a BA in mathematics from the University of California, Irvine, and an MA in mathematics from California State University, Long Beach. Mr. Aufmann taught math, computer science, and physics at Palomar College in California, where he was on the faculty for 28 years. His textbooks are highly recognized and respected among college mathematics professors. There are only a handful of practice problems throughout the book and for each one you are given an answer but no solution. Alot of work and great recipes and advice!. There is not much text in this book, but a picture is worth a thousand words, and Diana Vreeland's images are worth even more. One approaches romance and erotica expecting some sexual and emotional titillation, and it certainly delivers. Pushing the theme that education wasn't a big deal also rankled, being from the South does not mean that automatically that people are uneducated. Just delightful!
