It is a critique of religious dogma and religious stereotypes. LaVora Perry's book is a delightful read that teaches children to accept self, to embrace difference, and to develop compassion for others. He was not going to rent to a woman, until she started to cry. Most "tonal plans" (value sketches) are just b&w photos (badly screened, imho, so you can't see the patterns well) of the finished painting. There are also plenty of recipes for infusing the common go-to dishes with new flavors: curried chicken salad, bacon deviled eggs, grilled steak with chimichurri sauce, garlic-and-kale-stuffed pork tenderloin.
