For fans of Stewart's enormously popular syndicated bridge column, in which these characters appear regularly.
My greatest complaint about this book is that it tries to do too much. In many examples used by Ottman, successive regions (as opposed to a single pivot chord) should be identified as part of a more sophisticated interpretation of modulation.
Also, I don't understand the value in using figured bass as part of a text on advanced harmony. I could go on and on about how this book is amazing (it is brilliant), but I have learned the only way to discover the truth is to get the book and read it. All in all it was fun if a little slow.. From a theoretical perspective, the book might add value, but it is only of limited practical use.. This is supposed to be indicative of the charming speech of the south, but I always find it irritating when authors do this because this is not how Georgian's speak this day and age. Publisher needs to proof better. Give someone you know who needs help this mini-book.. A very good book on how to buy common stocks directly from the company. The custom
